| How to tape a bodhrán
The taped bodhran came from a damping system used in drumming. the effect of the tape is to give a deep tone similar to that of a double skin. We cannot guarantee the tape as it is subject to the oil content of the skin and humidity.
If the tape pulls, you will have to replace it with new electrical tape. Remove all the old tape. You will see a pencil circle 2" from the edge of the bodhran. Start the tape on the pencil circle and gently stretch the tape, using your thumb, around the pencil circle. Continue overlapping circles outward to the edge of the bodhran rim. To finish, tuck the tape under the band on the rim. |

This bodhran comprises of cross grained plywood, has a 6” deep rim
with cut-out and T bar. It has the added advantage of a black taped rim
for

Bodhran Holding Strap
A very handy addition to Bodhran accessories. It allows the player to stand and play while the bodhran's weight is supported by the shoulders. The strap is attached to the bodhran at two points using the srews, already there, that hold the cross bar and two extra large screw cups (supplied with strap). The strap clips onto these screw cups.
